Lisa & Clayton's Wedding Bunting

Nothing more beautiful than wedding bunting..... especially when it is made from hessian and crocheted lace trimmings. I recently made a "mr and mrs" bunting for a lovely client Lisa Delport who so kindly sent me the most beautiful thank you with stunning images from her wedding. The decor so clean and simple but chic and elegant is proof how the rustic and rough textures of hessian can combine so softly with white and simple decor. Bunting is a lovely addition to the main table (with or with out words stamped on it). Other places bunting works well is on your "sweets" table, cake table, behind the main table and of course outside where your guests gather while the couple gets photographed.

Christmas Open Days with a difference....

It is ALWAYS very exciting working with THE most talented and probably one of the loveliest people I know, Glynnis from Talloula.... we are crazy busy working on our workshops / demonstrations for a Christmas with a difference on 22 and 23 November 2011. With a day option on 22 November or an evening on 23 November, there will be shopping, shopping and shopping during the open hours or join us for the 2 hour demonstrations (bookings essential at a cost of R 225).
Glynnis will be sharing exciting new and FRESH trends for your Christmas tablescapes... believe me, Christmas tables like you haven't seen before. I am demonstrating packaging, decor and gifts with HOMEGROWN yumminess. Looking forward to this one....

Little Mud Hut will be at Jenny Fisher's Open Day alongside alot of yumminess. So difficult to setup your product while your eyes are constantly on the roam around the room at all the gorgeous goodies on sale. And I have to constantly repeat "here to sell not buy" to myself while I arrange stock with a pout... (may just make my way back down the hill again me thinks). A Hessian Wedding... totally Little Mud Hut yumminess

Talloula... what can I say but you rock my Little Hut's world..... Look at this gorgeous combination and styling for a recent wedding at Tala Game Reserve.... My little hut made the lace and hessian buntings, lace and hessian table runners and yummy lace and hessian wine bottle wraps with table numbers stamped on them. I am totally inlove with the combination of these pinks, purples and mauve teamed with stoneware, glass, tin and hessian.... ahhhh my beloved hessian.. Always exciting to see the end result... thank you Glynnis for sending me some photos. If you getting married.... Glynnis is definately the MUST HAVE co-ordinator extra-ordinaire.... three words from the hut.... YUM yum and yummy...

Dean and Lizelle's Wedding

I first met Lizelle at the Shongweni Farmers Market when I had a stall at the popular Christmas Market held last year. Lizelle is propapbly THE most organized person I had ever come across and with that knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding. And so Little Mud Hut Designs got busy and creative and made Lizelle's bunting and wedding signs a reality for her.

Stocking my Booth: Day 2

It is ready to roll... well nearly.... still a little bit of tweaking, waiting for my magnets to arrive (sweat sweat), and adding a few signs (that i still need to create.... oof the never ending list.... ooo ooo must ADD TO LIST: charge my big camera batteries to take better pics on Friday). But to say I am one tired, exhausted, drained but "VERY PLEASED with the end result chick" is a total understatement. Words cannot express the weight lifted once you have got yourself to this stage. The behind the scenes work is still flat out, but that "I'm Ready to open for business" feeling is a good one for sure ....
